In addition to calculating the efficiency of solar panels, PV Calculations also provides useful data on the position of the sun at a given time of the day and the best tilt angle. The amount of sunlight a solar panel receives at any given time is highly dependent on these variables. This app can correctly estimate the location of the sun and recommend the ideal angle to position solar panels taking into account solar zenith, azimuth and declination. The recommendations also take into account fill factor, a measure of how efficient a solar panel is at converting sunlight into electrical output.
